Description: While taking inspiration from Arie Azene’s “Manhattan New York Street Scene”, I worked to depict similar art skills through my painting, while also conveying a similar message. Elements of Inner City living, which was my comparative study connecting theme are placed all over this work, such as big skyscraper buildings, and people crossing in the work. The dark tones of all of the work are meant to represent a gloomy, inner city day, then connecting back to my life, growing up in an inner city.
