Artist Statement: Through this piece, I intended to communicate the impact that family connection has, when concentrating on a certain moment within the photo. I created these photographs because I believe there is value in capturing moments that often go unnoticed, given how usual they might be. These pieces were made with little to no direction provided to the subjects, to create an image that is as genuine as possible and relays the raw emotion tethered to the photo.
