Artist Statement: The piece’s title, Screaming to My Orb, is from me essentially trying to take “pondering my orb” memes further, what if you were really putting yourself into your orb, capturing your own intensity of emotion and it’s spitting that back to you, what if your orb was pondering you? In this warped reflection we no longer even see ourselves, who are looking out from within the viewer’s teeth, it warps and makes us monstrous and inhuman, trying to reflect my own fears at expressing myself and at the potential lies, and perhaps the frustration, of excessive self reflection.
