Artist Statement: To demonstrate the grip technology has on society, I began investigating how it has affected me first. When thinking of a battery, one would think of technology. Devices that are reliant on batteries eventually need to be charged to maintain functionality. This relationship is prevalent in my daily life with technology as I often find it a resting place or a necessity for me to maintain functionality. I have chosen a hand as a medium to express my dependence for they are what establish my connection with technology.
