Artist Statement: The drawing of Amanda Gorman was different for me. I have never completed a drawing like it before. The process was a bit stressful because I felt like the drawing had to be perfect. When I realized it did not have to be perfect and I was almost finished, I was so relieved but also proud of myself. Now I know I can do great work because art doesn’t have to be perfect, it just simply has to be yours!
