Artist Statement: The title of my piece is Faking the Outside. Hiding the Inside. My artwork is a young teen with an emoji mask as the head, a dark hoodie and broken heart on the body, and robot legs replacing the human legs. I created this art piece because I wanted to show how teens may pretend to be happy, but we do not know what is going on the inside.
