Artist Statement: The title of the piece is called Flashbacks. I named it this to represent the flashback of a simpler time pre-covid. The piece shows a flashback I had of a memory the year previous, before restrictions and masks. I’m trying to tell my audience of my experience and transition from before to now with the dark mood of my current self vs my lighter happier mood in the flashback of myself.
