Artist Statement:

My work explores impermanence, and its connection to a lack of control. I wanted to communicate the temporality that surrounds us and how relinquishing control can create new possibilities. Using charcoal powder, chiffon, and acrylic paint, I experimented with unpredictability—the charcoal’s movement was shaped by wind, as I let it carry the powder around the canvas. The bold contrast between the charcoal and the squares symbolizes working within uncertainty.
