Artist Statement:
Thought is a mental process involving the generation of ideas and concepts. This piece explores the artist’s mental process through color use and application. The collaboration of orange and red tones overlayed reflects the representation of ideas and concepts. The result of a thought clarified: a beautiful layering of warm colors to express the exciting and reviving feeling that is experienced as happiness. It sparks from a small source, but it is so powerful, it extends beyond the canvas, it reaches out to the viewer to look beyond and continue carrying the happy thought out.
