Artist Statement:
Hello, my name is Sloane E Isaacson and I’m the creator of “Soul Forest.” I made this artwork thinking of my deceased dogs Bella and the my aunt’s dog Anna. The darker brown dog is Bella and the lighter one is Anna. Even though I am Christian, I thought of a place of where I want to be with my family including the dogs if I were to see them again, and that is not Heaven. I also only choose Bella and Anna because I miss them dearly. The background I choose was a forest, frozen pond, and snowy plain since I love winter and nature. The circles in the background are souls of my family (not the squirrel), and the ones around Anna and Bella are theirs and they are twining around my own. This is the same for the plants next to them. Hope you guys like the drawing!
