Artist Statement:
In this piece, I created a scenery of what a Mayan Empire might look like if it was still thriving. I based this piece off of the Mayan pyramid ruins in different parts of Mexico. I also included the Quetzalcoatl which was a prominent figure in Mesoamerican culture including Mayan culture.
