Artist Statement: Photography has given me the opportunity to capture the many layers of life. From a birthday wish to a random stick, I can capture everything around me. I took my photos based on what I do on a daily basis: spending time with my family, taking time to capture the view outside, and just being myself. I was inspired to take these photos by thinking that this would be another memory I could hold on to. I first planned out at what angle I would take my photos and then changed my lighting accordingly. I would get up close to my subjects or stand some distance away to get the perfect shot and make sure my subjects were in frame. My work is something I am proud of and something I never thought I could do. Taking photos has become a pastime I enjoy and will continue to make my memories last forever.
