Artist Statement: My artwork has always just been a way to express myself when words don’t cut it. They are a visual representation of everything I want to say but just don’t know how to. It is a process I love and am thankful for because of how it allows me to clear my mind. No matter how frustrated I get when something doesn’t go as planned I will still love every second of the process. Being in my room by myself with my full focus on the painting is one of the best feelings. I am at peace and free from all the negative thoughts. Not only does painting allow me to connect with myself and my emotions but it also lets me show the people closest to me how important they actually are. If you’re important to me then you’ll be in my art in some way shape or form, if I care about you then I want your opinion too. I get a lot of inspiration from the people I love to be around, them being my family or friends. If they have a good emotional influence on me then they’ll directly have an influence in my art too.
