Artist Statement:
As part of a photo mapping project in our school’s AP Photography Class, this photo was taken in relation to my sense of sight, observation, and spiritual lenses. I am constantly observing things new, old, of human and spiritual nature, and more–despite me physically having to wear glasses to see things better. In the title, “they” is capitalized, emphasizing on my queer identity and choice of pronouns. One of my dear friends and fellow queer Visual Artist peers had given me the consent to snap this photo for my project.
