Artist Statement:
For my project I was inspired by the Cuban artist, Amelia Pelaez. When I was examining the different art pieces that Amelia Pelaez created, I saw that her work looked like stained glass. In my art creation I made mine look like stained glass. Her work had thick lines, some bright colors, unique patterns, and included a family member. I followed this process and added my own family member’s portrait to the piece.
