Artist Statement:
As a slight nod to Wong Kar Wai’s Chungking Express and its city life cinematography, In the Midst reflects on the state of confusion. While others rapidly move around, it becomes easy to feel lost. With bright billboards reflecting off of the center character’s face, an inescapable trance is set that can only be freed with internal movement.
