Artist Statement:
In the making of this piece, I was given a limited time and a variety of magazines to work with. I began scavenging through magazines to find images that struck my attention, initially being the colored images of the shoes. From there I worked to tie in a variety of contrasting and complementary colors to make this piece cohesive. In the end, I added lyrics to songs I listened to throughout the process of creation, as well as bold finishing paint strokes that overall was able to link the paint and collage aspects of this piece.
