Artist Statement:
Meant to highlight the role models that have shaped the figure’s identity, this work combines self-reflection with idolization through a surreal twist. While the scene of the figure sitting before a mirror reminds viewers of their own daily actions, the jarring contrast between the mirror and the shapes spiraling out from it elevates the overall composition of the work.
