Artist Statement:
Protect the ocean just like we protect our homes! The ocean is full of amazing creatures like whales (which are mammals), colorful fish, squishy jellyfish, and even big sharks. Imagine being an ocean creature—would you like it if you had to swim around in garbage? No way!
We can all dream of what the ocean could be like if we kept it clean and safe.If we could really see what’s happening under the sea, we would understand just how important it is to keep the ocean clean and safe for all living creatures. From the inside out, the ocean is their home, and just like we want our homes to be clean and safe, the animals do too. I want to show everyone how it looks under the water and why we need to protect it. Whether the creatures swim, float, or glide, they all need a safe, clean place to live.
If we don’t protect the ocean, the Earth might end up looking like a lonely, dry rock floating in space! So, let’s keep the ocean clean and our communities safe. Imagine stepping on garbage—it’s not fun! When you read this, think about how we can all help keep the ocean and the animals’ homes safe, happy, and clean. Let’s take care of the Earth so it’s not just a big, floating rock in space!
