Artist Statement: In creating art I express my deepest passion and emotions. My portfolio reflects everything that I love and makes me happy. Everyone’s true dream is to be happy and with art I’m able to express the true happiness I was gifted. With my art I feel satisfied being able to express my strong passionate emotions with texture, color, and form. Each piece is an intimate expression of my connection to the world around me, whether it’s nature, people, or moments that inspire a sense of wonder. I enjoy working with various materials such as cardboard, paint, clay, plaster, and paper college. I believe a variety of materials help bring your art into life. I have done all these pieces through my high school years art classes. From doing mixed media, sculpture, film, and other art classes I have created a portfolio that helps express me as a person and what makes me happy. Every piece I have created has been a reflection over my life experience, struggling through high school with a lot of confusing difficult emotions and still being able to find things that make you happy and enjoy life. I enjoy Exploring new things because it is what makes me human and being able to explore different things in my art helps me connect with my feelings. My work is an extension of my identity and it brings me joy being able to create beautiful art that I love.
