Artist Statement: This self-portrait of myself is what I would look like in a fantasy monster world. I use monsters as a metaphor for existing outside of societal norms because queer people are often seen as harmful monsters for existing authentically. I spin the negative propaganda into a positive and hopeful message about queer joy.
