Artist Statement: The works submitted in my portfolio exhibit my personal deep exploration into the art of sculpture. This is a medium that I had always wanted to try, as I have already grown accustomed to creating 2-D works of art such as digital artworks and acrylic paintings. To really challenge myself, all pieces have been created with a mixed array of materials that I have had no prior experience with, ranging from clay sculpting to paper mache works. Although these artworks were created as part of school assignments, they hold a personal connection to me as an artist who is always eager to try my hand at anything where I am given the artistic ability to create pieces that fully exhibit my sheer determination and intricate creative process.
