Artist Statement: The work portrayed in my portfolio identifies my deepest beliefs, and identity in my dreams. My work showcases my day to day interactions in the city of Chicago with the Humboldt Park community which is where I’ve always lived my whole life. I also integrated my Mexican heritage. For instance, the dreams my people have envisioned in constructing their whole life till they grow old in this country. The well known Roeser’s Bakery that has captivated many Chicagoans and the dreamy sweets many have tasted since 1911. Lastly, the beautiful city of Chicago where most of my dreams have come true and has been one of the biggest inspirations in photography.
