Artist Statement: I ended up making these art pieces because at the time it was helping me express myself and release some tension that I was holding within. How I ended up making them was by sketching them on paper first and then I transferred them one of the sketches on a portrait with a lot more detail which was a religious art piece. That religious art piece I ended up doing for a graphic design final which ended up being digital. What inspired me was my teacher with certain art pisces and as well my own interests within the art making. What my artistic process looks like I first close my eyes play some of my favorite music genres, I end up listening and the think about whatever pops into my mind. Im interested interested in using certain materials as in for example charcoal, with charcoal its feels incredibly freeing with such rich texture that adds to the art piece. What art means to me is a moment of peace, to be able to freely make mistakes without anyone judging you for them bring you tranquility and beauty to it.
