Artist Statement: This piece, “A Feminine Experience”, is an emotional expression of what it feels like to be a girl in our harsh society. My goal for this piece was to point out the harsh beauty standards and societal expectations that are placed on women. I wanted to show how these impossible expectations lead to anxiety, stress, depression, anger, and self confidence issues for many women.
