Artist Statement: Each one of my pieces shown here have a personal connection to something I’ve experienced in my life, from experiencing the beauty of nature by camping in the woods to drawing inspiration from my love for zoology with most of my pieces surrounding animals. My photos I take depict a few things from manicured nature to uncertainty of self, I try to have a variety of my works in any competition I take part in. A lot of them are experimental but all flow back to one thing, my interests. This was my first time really taking photography and working with the medium, my strongest works are my nature shots and aperture shots which are the ones I’ve had most practice with. My school has luckily been able to let me take a variety of art classes and really hone my artistic abilities, it’s through my everyday routine that I grow and expand on my current skills.
