Artist Statement:
Cityscape Perspective: Railways is a part of my photojournalism collection focused on capturing unique perspectives of the city as well as the timeless and dramatic element of Chicago’s infrastructure. This shot was taken out of a moving train, and I felt really captured an aspect of Chicago that can be overlooked for movement and skyscrapers. The colorless aspect also gives it a simple yet dramatic look, really highlighting the angles and sharp elements to where the tracks meet.
