Artist Statement: While relating to the deep isolation depicted on SZA’s sophomore album cover, I recreated it with myself in it with the intention of using SZA’s feelings to describe my own. From artist to artist I built a sense of connection between the two of us while creating this piece because as human’s we all need time to isolate to reflect, regret and heal from past pain and future experiences. I wear the number 7 to represent a sense of competition, bringing my own personal touch into the piece.
