Artist Statement: Last year my house was flooded and I wanted to create a piece of art that showed how that felt to me. My family had to move out of our real house for 9 months. It was the house I’ve always lived in since I was a baby. Over the last year, sometimes it felt like we were totally “adrift” and lost and so I wanted to make art where the normal house was in a weird, different setting.
