Description: This art piece explores my perspective of “home.” It enhances the freedom and peace I feel whilst being in a tranquil atmosphere that allows me to be who I am without worrying about anything outside of my comfort zone. My idea of home includes me gazing into the starry night sky while listening to music, both of which provide me with a sense of ease.
Artist statement: My art pieces represent my identity and explore the inquiry of what it means to mask my own emotions in the most chaotic situations. My work delves into the concept of dealing with failure, hiding one’s feelings, and putting on a front amidst many circumstances. My art work is created with the use of black ink pens, watercolor paint, as well as digital technology which all help emphasize my style that involves the use of dramatic lighting to give my characters flare. Additionally, I love experimenting with both warm and cool colors to form an exemplary color scheme and add highlights to my line work to give my characters the shine they need bring my art to life and leave the viewers with a fascinating afterimage.
