Description: Growing up in a Mexican family in a vibrant Hispanic neighborhood, I’ve witnessed the dedication of hardworking men on the front lines of construction jobs. From my father and uncles to the countless individuals donning bright orange or neon hoodies on their way to work at 4 AM, these individuals, often seen enjoying a meal on the floor, embody resilience, joy, and sacrifice.
In homage to their dignity and commitment, I present the CDD Double-Knee Pants. Crafted from recycled canvas material, these pants stand as a tribute to the men who sacrifice their comfort daily to provide for their families and shape the very fabric of our communities.
Artist statement: My artwork resembles the vision of my design firm, Geneva Studios. Every piece I show constructs factors that work towards a movement – a visual exploration. As an eclectic artist who enjoys the complexities of abstract work and the simplicity of minimalistic design, I work to explore the boundaries of design mixing and matching these two aesthetics accordingly. Adobe Photoshop permits me to explore these aesthetics freely, allowing for the manifestation of exceptional designs that embody the spirit of Geneva Studios – that embody me.
