Description: At the end of every week, I find myself summarizing all of my emotions into the finalizing Friday night, in a similar way that the sunset each evening gives a finalizing feeling to the day.
I wanted to depict these emotions through time-based artwork created at the end of each week matched to a selected sunset photo from the week. For me, I feel a strong connection between the setting sun and my locale, both being outdoors in my neighborhood at this time of day, and then after the sun sets, going inside my home.
I selected a two-month time-period in the fall, when sunsets change significantly with each passing day, to help me explore how my emotions fluctuate. I photographed the sunset each night from my alley and neighborhood. Each Friday, I took measure of myself, scanned the photos to see which one matched my finalizing emotions, then created digital art to pair with the photo. The final result is an examination of my emotions from the beginning of fall to the end.
