Artist Statement:
My artwork mainly depicts more unpleasant and macabre topics to destigmatize what society finds “ugly” or “repulsive”. I tend to draw “creepy” things such as skulls, blood, dismembered figures, and other subjects that people may find unpleasant. I aim to picture them in a beautiful light because they are often looked past. I find that there is beauty in what is “dead” or “unsettling” as there is always a good story behind such subjects. I want to deconstruct as well as challenge society’s standards for beauty and what is socially acceptable through my
