Description: My artistic process includes taking my reference pictures, I reference multiple of these photographs to create a unique sketch. From there, I digitally paint my pieces using Procreate. I am interested in using digital art as it allows me to easily change and distort certain areas of the artwork. This is important to me as I like to keep my drawings realistic and have correct proportions and being able to easily alter the drawing helps me achieve that.
Artist Statement: Explores my feelings about the loss of my father and how the grief had changed my perspective of childhood memories. The background is supposed to represent a children’s drawing, to show how this is a childhood memory. The figure being a silhouette represents how people are slowly forgotten after their death.
