Artist Statement: This piece is in a setting of my own creation (with inspiration from some of my favorite historical settings; Fall of the Roman Republic, Feudal Japan, Crusades) centering on the characters I have populated this setting with. This piece centers on the human conflict of sibling rivalry within the realm of a period of civil war and political instability. My goal is to get other people as interested in my passions as me and to even give people a sense of involvement and stakes in what I make and how it develops further.
