Artist Statement: For my piece I depicted a boy waiting for the train. There’s a rainstorm and the water droplets fill the paper. As the boy waits for the train, a city of pipes, lights, and passages ways loom. The boy waits as three monkeys look on but don’t car. A massive wave sweeping through huge skyscrapers in the background. The meaning of the piece is reflective of a time where I was very lonely and always felt as if a massive wave was approaching me, mentally and physically. But if feels like no one ever saw the wave except me. The piece is done with pen and alcohol markers, the streaks of white on the paper made with a Gel roller Pen
