Artist Statement: For my artwork, I did a pink lotus flower/pond lily. I really like pond lilies because I see them on fishing trips with my Grandpa. I remember that when I first started, I was really overwhelmed by how much I had to do, like stamens, petals, etc. It also took longer than was probably necessary, mostly because I wanted to match the colors perfectly. I do really like this piece, even if I was in a bit of a time crunch near the end. It was very fun to watch it come together.
