Artist Statement: The setting is one of post-war chaos, with the air filled with the sound of people rushing and the sense of urgency. The ground beneath the boy and girl’s feet is littered with the debris of the conflict that has just ended, but they stand tall amidst the rubble, their eyes fixed on the tanks that flank them.

The tanks, once harbingers of destruction, now stand motionless, their engines silent. The boy and girl stand between them, a symbol of hope and resilience in the aftermath of the war. They wear expressions of determination and relief on their faces, their eyes shining with the knowledge that they have survived the horrors of war.

As they stand there, a group of people rushes past them, carrying bags and luggage, their faces alight with excitement. They are flying to another country, leaving behind the ruins of the war-torn land they once called home. The boy and girl watch them go, their hearts heavy with the knowledge that rebuilding their homeland will take time and effort.

Yet, even as they feel the weight of the future ahead, the boy and girl refuse to give in to despair. They know that they are not alone in their struggles, that there are others like them who have survived the war and are determined to rebuild their country. And as they stand there, between the silent tanks and the rushing crowds, they remind us that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a brighter future.
