Description: I wanted to experiment with mark-making, and take a stylized approach to portraiture to emphasize the characters facial expression and inner emotions.
Artist Statement: All of my ideas are in one way or another inspired by the music and the art I consume. I sometimes see my ideas as an extension of an album I listened to, or just a memory I cherish; adding on to the world I created for them. I am obsessed with indirectly trying to tell a story in my art, and to give life to a world, or a character without directly writing it in. Worldbuilding, and the environment of the world is the foundation of each piece, and as I progress through an artwork, the story changes and warps into something completely unrecognizable from its birth. I hope to be able to draw an audience in and inspire them with the ecosystem of my art, and let them create a story of their own.
