Description: “Teapot Blues.” I created this piece to further dabble into my love of realism drawing and painting. I experimented with a monochromatic color scheme to bring this ordinary object to life.
Artist Statement: Celebrate the ordinary. Through observation and attention to detail, my goal through my artwork is to reconstruct concepts in everyday life to reconnect with the beauty that lies within ordinary things. Through realism drawing and paintings portraying more abstract concepts, I allow my pieces to capture beauty. In effort to challenge people’s perspective and allow myself to shine through my work, I incorporate my personal values, admiration of people and culture, and Jewish heritage into my pieces.
