Artist Statement: This artwork displays the image of becoming someone new. It is a scary process and can take many years, but once something starts an epiphany its influence quickly starts to spread. The section in color on the tip of the head means the happy things that happen with a shift in thoughts, which is already starting to possess the woman as it brings back her skin colors. The grayscale of the rest of her body is to illustrate the old and the crawling hand is her epiphany manifesting.
