Artist Statement: I had a conversation with my dad about his funeral and what he wants to happen when he dies. He wants a green burial, where you are put in the ground in a pine casket and a tree grows on top. Everyone will die one day. I painted my tree green because it is my happy color and I want to remember my dad this way.
