Artist Statement: Through this artwork I want to communicate that a capsule doesn’t only have one meaning. With the creation of this three dimensional artwork, growing up as a female figure, it was difficult transitioning from a young girl to a young adult. With pain, every month these capsules killed my soreness, helping me get up and perform daily activities instead of being knocked out in bed all day. To me this is a capsule of joy that helps clear pain away from my body.
