Artist Statement: This is my community superhero project. I researched six different community needs: environment, education, transportation, safety, health/wellness, and housing insecurity. Based on the research I learned that there are not many trees in Bridgeport. I wanted to create a community superhero that addressed this need. My superhero has the power to be able to plant trees around and help out the community. I created a badge that represents these powers. One thing I learned through this project is helping out the community is not gonna hurt you and it is better to do it than not trying I hope to spread awareness of this need in the community by planting more trees around.
