Artist Statement: I remember that Rousseau used different kinds of plants and animals that weren’t in real jungles. He added fruits and made his pictures really green and fills the space. He tried to get in the Salon but they didn’t like his work. He kept trying even though people didn’t call him a good artist. I added fruits, snakes, birds, monkeys and tigers. I made it really green with lots of plants.
