Artist Statement: My work, is driven by the relationship between bodies of water and nature, revolving around the importance of water in our environment and the alterations caused by human involvement. By observing water, it can invoke a certain emotion within us that has the power to change not only our lives but how we feel in the moment. Different animals and cultures perceive or use water in different methods in order to survive. How have humans impacted the environments that involve bodies of water and how has that changed the value of water and the services it’s able to provide? How is water perceived by different cultures and it’s association? What’s currently happening to bodies of water and it’s resources?
