Artist Statement: This piece is a mirror painting that allows the viewers to get a different perspective and question why a mirror was chosen. This piece was made to represent how depression and mental health can affect you and make you feel like you are trapped inside a mirror with a shadow and you can never get out no matter how hard you try. You may try to cry for help, but there’s no guarantee someone will come help unless they see your reflection the way you do.
