Description: I wanted to capture a dramatic feel
Artist Statement: My inspiration for this piece comes from the concept of using water paint. I wanted to capture a dramatic feel in my work. This is why I chose to use a skull instead of a human head on the body. I also choose an out-of-this-world background because the figure doesn’t quite fit in one specific world. The red background helps the figure stand out and the lines help to create the shading in the figure.
