Artist Statement: For my project, I used the prompt “grief and nature.” So, the idea is that Mother Earth is sad because of how she feels that humans are killing her. I decided to do this because I constantly think about how we were able to destroy the Earth so quickly. I really like how I painted the skin though, so I might explore watercolors more. I’m just glad that the paper didn’t warp.
