Artist Statement: Taking a photography was always one of my goals. Ever since I was younger I loved to take pictures and would use up all of my mom’s film on her disposable camera to take silly pictures of me and my siblings. My mom loved taking pictures of me and my siblings and I always remember having a camera around me. As I grew up I focused on taking pictures with my phone. I would take videos and pictures of anything that captured my eye. They weren’t always the best shots but I alway loved capturing moments around me. We then had an assignment in class to take a creative selfie. We planned it and I went with my brother and I set up my camera to take pictures and my brother, who was behind the camera, made me laughed and made me realize how thankful I am to have such a wonderful life, amazing friends and family, a warm home, and so much more. Nothing that shouldn’t bring a smile to my face.
